I'm <B>Eric Ode</b>, a singer, songwriter, and widely published poet for kids. As a former elementary teacher, I remember the hours I spent developing lessons and activities to accompany some of my favorite classroom literature. I was fortunate to have classroom sets of many grade appropriate titles, from <I>Little House in the Big Woods</I> to Arnold Lobel's <I>Fables</I>. When Meadowbrook Press published my collection of cowboy poems for kids, <I><B>Tall Tales of the Wild West (And a Few Short Ones)</b></I>, I recognized what a fun resource this and other tall tale books can be for the elementary classroom.
